Ferromagnetism out of charge fluctuation of strongly correlated electrons in κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Hg(SCN)2Br

چکیده

We perform magnetic susceptibility and torque measurements on the organic $\kappa$-(BEDT-TTF)$_2$Hg(SCN)$_2$Br, which is recently suggested to host an exotic quantum dipole-liquid in its low-temperature insulating phase. Below metal-insulator transition temperature, follows a Curie-Weiss law with positive particular $M\propto \sqrt{H}$ curve observed. The emergent ferromagnetically interacting spins amount about 1/6 of full spin moment localized charges. Taking account possible inhomogeneous quasi-charge-order that forms dipole-liquid, we construct model antiferromagnetically chains two adjacent charge-ordered domains, are coupled via fluctuating charges Mott-dimer at boundary. find charge fluctuations can draw weak ferromagnetic out singlet domains.

Mott-Anderson Transition in Molecular Conductors: Influence of Randomness on Strongly Correlated Electrons in the κ-(BEDT-TTF)2X System

The Mott-Anderson transition has been known as a metal-insulator (MI) transition due to both strong electron-electron interaction and randomness of the electrons. For example, the MI transition in doped semiconductors and transition metal oxides has been investigated up to now as a typical example of the Mott-Anderson transition for changing electron correlations by carrier number control in co...

Strongly Correlated Electrons in Solids

Most emergent properties of the materials discovered since the 1980s are related to the existence of electronelectron interactions which are large with respect to the kinetic energies and could not be thoroughly studied before. The occurrence of metal insulator transitions, of exotic magnetic and/or superconducting properties in many new compounds have stimulated a large series of experimental ...

Quantum Magnetism Approaches to Strongly Correlated Electrons

Problems of strongly interacting electrons can be greatly simplified by reducing them to effective quantum spin models. The initial step is renormalization of the Hamiltonian into a lower energy subspace. The positive and negative U Hubbard models are explicitly transformed into the Heisenberg and -x-xz models respectively. Basic tools of quantum magnetism are introduced and used: spin coherent...

Strongly Correlated Electrons: Dynamical Vertex Renormalization

Single-band Hubbard model at criticality of the metal-insulator transition is studied using approximations derived from parquet theory. It is argued that only the electron-hole and interaction two-particle channels in the parquet algebra are relevant. A scheme is proposed how to reduce the parquet equations to a manageable form the complexity of which is comparable with single-channel approxima...
